PREPARING FOR YOUR SHOOT  (FOR BEST RESULTS!)


Please arrive at your scheduled session time so that we can maximise our time together. Please arrive dressed and ready for photos.


CLOTHING:

The following is purely recommendation:   Think classic and simple!


Tops: plain shirts or t-shirts

Bottoms: jeans or chinos

Sets: Matching family sets/pyjamas

Accessories:  bows/headbands (keep it subtle)


Colours:  Solid colours, especially Christmas colours, eg, green, red or gold.   Neutral colours (beige/grey)  Earthy colours (brown/tan/beige/rust) and navy also work well.

Patterns & Textures: feel free to incorporate subtle textures or patterns eg knits/ lace/tartan. Consider how well they tie in with the attire of other family members.

Consistency:  For the best results, dress family members for the same season and occasion.   


Things to avoid...

  • Logos, bold patterns (particularly stripes) and characters (Frozen, Bluey etc)


NB  - If you plan to wear solid black or white, consider breaking it up with other colours or subtle patterns.  Another good option is to have multiple members of your family wearing the same.  Wearing black or white will not ruin your photos!!...  It's just that they can at times appear harsh or slightly upset the balance of an image because they tend to draw the eye.


FOOTWEAR:  

Plain/classic shoes are best.  Avoid logo designs, colours and anything else that will steal the focus and opt for plain, coloured socks. (ideally not black or white)


TIPS & HINTS:

Remove creases from clothing prior to your shoot.

Remove any old nail polish / temporary tattoos.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SHOOT:


  • A relaxed photo shoot (20mins) at my home studio, in Croydon North (remember this is about making fun memories with your family!
  • Don't be concerned if your kids take time to warm up.  Our priority is making them feel comfortable, so their smiles are genuine.  We have ways of coaxing out the most shy of little personalities.
  • You'll have access to three beautiful Christmas scenes, as well as some cute props.
  • Personalised image gallery with 15-20 images to choose from
  • A little treat at the end of your shoot.



WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR SHOOT:


  • You'll receive a link to your image gallery within 3 business days of your session, with instructions on how to make your selections.
  • Your gallery will expire within 7 days.
  • You'll receive a download link (via email) with your hand edited, high resolution digital files, within 3-5 days of making your selections.
